080518-1.jpgMr.Daikoku, Satoko and I still had something to do on the next day after the show. Not for A-Key Kyo, but for Yamasa Co.

The big Yamasa-man appeared at Uwajimaya around 1pm to 3pm.
Inside of the store, it was a little chilly for Satoko & I in the Yamasa-lady costumes, but for Mr. Daikoku.
Not for him with an almost 7 foot tall Yamasa-man costume. It took him more than 5minutes just to walk around in the store, and it made him sweat, a lot.
However! He survived the event full of smiles on his face!!
We also had a time to take pictures with some customers there.
We really appreciate that lots of customers came up to take pics with us!!

Since it was so much fun, I personally hope that we can do it again in some stores or some events.^_^

Thank god there was a blue sky above our heads, but...

Maybe, maybe we prayed too much for the weather. It was too hot...and all of audience looked like they were almost dead, so did we ...I heard lots of cosplayers found shelter in the store from the heat, and I think it was a smart choice! >_<
We hope no one suffered from sunstroke. うぎゃぁ〜

7.jpgIt was Uwajimaya Beaverton Store's 10th anniversaryいちごケーキ, so we started with the Birthday song. We sang the song with audience, and gave flowers to Don the store director. We hope the business will grow more, and we will keep playing music there. ^_^
The 10 songs we played were the same as the last festival, but sounded better than we did in the snow & hail.
Though inside of my mouth turned into a desert at Abarasta (@ One piece) right after I started singing...gosh I wondered how Satoko dealt with it! Thank Warra for working on the PA so that the sound was great under the windy conditions.

We hope that the next show at Uwajimaya will have the best weather 汗;

Thank you for supporting us!!!笑い。
The festival @ Uwajimaya is now around the corner.
And, there is the Yamasa-man event @ Uwajimaya the day after the festival, .
At the Yamasa event, Mr Daikoku transform to Ymasa-man, and Satoko & I energize to Yamasa ladies as you've seen us on TV. (It's slight, but still have a chance to meet energized Aki, too)

Speaking of a Yamasa-man costume, the 1st one that I call "Taro" flew to Yamasa L.A. office. I am really glad that they wanted it. The part I wasn't glad about was that I only kept brief measurements for the costume.
So, making a 2nd one "Jiro" is just like from scratch, it ended up a little different. Some parts are better, some parts are not. the big difference between "Taro" and "Jiro" is the size of its head. Jiro's head looks more real, but now it's to big to stay up when you actually fit the costume...
We found out after all I finished making it, exactly 10 days before the event...crap...

I separated the costume top and body, went back and forth home and Jo-ann.
Now, it's Wednesday May 14th. There is no time to ask Mr. Daikoku to check how it fits. Or, I even don't want him to try...I don't want to fix anymore...I need time to practice for band....(T_T)

Wish me luck for the costume, and for playing bass without any misses.....!!

Whenever you face some difficulty & you have to go through no matter what, what do you think or how do you react?
“Why me ?!” ?

Well, that’s not healthy. Or I say, not A-Key Kyo-ly.

“It’s a chance to have a new experience!!”

Yes. It’s just like you fought with a new monster in your favorite game & leveled up.
Or, that you found a new pokemon that you never had before.
It’s positive & healthy, and A-Key Kyo-ly.

Now, we, A-Key Kyo, just had an amazingly super-duper-ly brand-new experience on April 19th.
First of all, we must thank all of the audience who stayed with us the whole show under the weather.
On the day, we went to Uwajimaya to play for Sakura Festival.
Although the weather had been weird for weeks, we thought it would be ok since there was a blue sky.
But, we were wrong, wrong, wrong, and WRONG!!

The strong wind covered beautiful blue sky with dark clouds right after we started to play.
The wind also blew a tent that tried to invade our stage. (Thanks guys who were holding it.)
But, it was just an introduction.
After half way through our playing, it’s started rainning.
And, it quickly turned into hail…with wind.
Then it snowed a minute or so.
Our fingers are freezing cold,
Shigeru’s nose was running,
My butt cheeks were dancing 16beat, and...
Daikoku’s nipples were pointy.
Satoko & I were really glad that we didn’t pick mini-skirts for our costumes…

So, the weather in 45 minutes was like this.
Sunny, wind, rain, hail, hail with wind, snow…and cloudy.
It’s…great.
However, it was not the only great thing yet.
Unbelievably, blue sky showed it’s face after our show, and never hailed again.
…wow.
…I think we did level up somehow…mentally…

Thank all of the audience & stuff for the show, and hope everyone stays healthy!!

It was our first challenge playing an acoustic set.
I hope it turned out okay...>_<
